This product is one of Health Direct’s colon cleansers that not only promises the usual benefits of colon cleansing, like the elimination of harmful toxins, chemicals, dangerous pollutants and poisons from our bodies, but they also promise to be the “first step to a better body.”
How Does Sculpt’N Cleanse Plan To Do This?
Of course these claims of weight loss come with a big disclaimer from Health Direct, saying that they can only promise you will lose weight if you use Sculpt’N Cleanse in conjunction with your own weight management program. But we can promise you, that even if you were using this product in conjunction with your very own weight management program, any significant amount of weight that you lose will not be thanks to Sculpt’N Cleanse.
As its main function is a colon cleanser, Sculpt’N Cleanse simply cannot claim to be able to aid weight loss by speeding up the body’s digestion system and eliminating food before the body has a chance to absorb the calories. That is just not how the body works. You can speed up your body’s metabolism, the rate at which the body expends calories, but to speed up the digestive process would be like swallowing your food without chewing it and expecting to lose weight.

Besides exaggerating its properties to make its product seem more appealing to its consumers, Health Direct also uses ingredients that are clearly harmful to the public. In 2002, the US Food and drug Administration issued a ban on the use of aloe and cascara sagrada in laxatives. These ingredients were found to be causing abdominal pain as well as severe diarrhea; cascara sagrada is also thought to be potentially carcinogenic. Despite these medical findings, Health Direct includes both of these ingredients in Sculp’N Cleanse’s colon cleansing formula.
