Relacore Review
Relacore is a weight loss supplement that claims to be the result of a scientific breakthrough in the weight loss community. Relacore’s manufacturers assert that this product is able to control the stress hormone cortisol and that through this action you will be able to shed those frustrating, and difficult to lose, pounds of stubborn belly fat. The idea behind Relacore is that our bodies respond to heightened stress by storing fat. This is a primeval response in that one of the most common stressors at the time human beings were forming was the stress of starvation. Our bodies have an instinct to respond to anxiety by building fat reserves in an effort to save our lives.
Pros
Relacore has shown some results in the reduction of cortisol in some people. This product may indeed have some ability to lower stress levels and calm you down in an anxious situation. Relacore also uses the ingredient DHEA which has proven to aid in decreasing cholesterol.
Cons
While the vilification of cortisol does offer us a nice little scapegoat to pin our weight gain disappointments on the truth isn’t quite as simple. Cortisol has not been conclusively determined to have any relevance in regard to our weight gain and retention in the abdomen or anywhere else on the body. There is some evidence that some people react to stress by indulging in what is called “binge eating” but that is hardly the same as the idea that a chemical we can’t control is hoarding fat inside of us. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the past has called out the product Cortislim for falsely advertising that cortisol was the reason for belly fat and that this was a scientifically documented fact.
Conclusion
Until Relacore has some substantial evidence to offer we remain unconvinced of its weight loss claims. The company that produces Relacore has had issues with the Federal Trade Commission in the past due to less than honest advertisement strategies and we can’t find a lick of evidence to otherwise support Relacore at this time. We do not recommend this product.
