Purisalv

purisalv

Purisalv is a weight loss supplement that is based on the nutritional abilities of chia seeds.

Because chia seeds are all natural and have very little chance of producing negative and lasting side effects, we were intrigued enough to see if this weight loss supplement could really be as effective as Purisalv says that it is.

What’s The Hype About Purisalv?

Unfortunately, most of Purisalv’s website is devoted to explaining all the various things that chia seeds can do, rather than describing how it does it.

They promise that a daily dose of chia will help boost your metabolism, suppress your appetite, improve your endurance and even block certain high calorie foods from being absorbed.

But Purisalv doesn’t even limit chia’s abilities to weight loss. In fact, they even say that chia can help detoxify and cleanse your body, boost your energy levels and improve your ability to fight disease.

Because Purisalv doesn’t explain how or why chia seeds react with the body to produce these results, they use celebrity endorsements and excerpts from magazines to prove their efficacy.

Does It Live Up To The Hype?

Although we would love for the seeds of a little plant that once formed cute, pottery pets to be the next superfood, we just can’t believe that chia seeds are as powerful as Purisalv claims them to be.

The only proof they have for any of their medicinal claims is chia’s presence in the media. This is far from solid proof, however, because none of the quotes from doctors or excerpts from magazines can be verified.

In fact, some of them are downright wrong. In Christopher MacDougall’s book, Born to Run, he explains that the super-athletes, the Tarahumara Indians, ate mainly pinole, a sort of cornmeal, and beer.

However, Purisalv twists this information by saying that it wasn’t pinole but chia that the Indians subsisted on.

Although the other quotes haven’t been verified, we highly doubt any of them have any validity to them.

Does It Have Any Redeeming Qualities?

Unfortunately not. We think that Purisalv is merely trying to create a sensation around chia seeds and has not created a product with any sort of magical weight loss powers.
