Liquid Fire
Liquid Fire is a fat burner marketed by GE Pharma that promises to be able to give you intensely powerful ingredients for rapid results. GE Pharma is so confident in Liquid Fire, in fact, that they promise that you will “instantly notice massive increases in endurance and a huge energy burst.” They even take their claims further by saying that you will see results like a boosted metabolism and a reduction of fat stores in as little as one hour from the time you take the pill. Or at least that’s what we thought they were trying to say—there were a lot of spelling errors.
How Does It Do It?
This supplement relies on the powers of the potent ephedra to bring you these dramatic results. Although ephedra has been shown to deliver signs of weight loss, it also has been associated with such side effects as heart attack, stroke and even death. Back in 1998 the FDA wanted to ban any supplements that used over 8 mg of ephedra and put a warning label on any that used less than that, but these efforts were met with opposition from the nutritional supply company, Metabolife. Because Metabolife had many products that relied on the use of ephedra, they put $4 million into the efforts to stop the FDA’s bill of action. Even though Metabolife had successful lobbyists and public relations groups, that does not change the fact that ephedra is dangerous. And Liquid Fire uses as much as 6 times the amount that the FDA originally deemed safe for the public.
Any Other Concerns?
Although we like to see products that include ingredients that have been proven to be effective and harsh on fat stores, we do not like to see ones like Liquid Fire that have an ingredient list that could potentially result in your death.
